Sands of Solace

If there is one thing that Tallow’s Spring 2012 collection stand for, it’s the rhythm and flow between art and the ocean.  Jim Denevan, an artist and surfer from Santa Cruz, California shot the campaign which showcases geometric sand sculptures formed with rakes and sticks that spanned for miles on Australia’s shores.  The finish products take hours to complete and eventually wash away due to the ocean and inclement weather.  The collection featured swimsuits, wetsuits and apparel that can be described as embodying the softness and subtleties “that prises the feminine-function desire of female surfers.”
